About

Nóra Bézi was born in Budapest, Hungary and currently lives in Spain. Art has always been an important part of her life, from studying art history and aesthetics to taking drawing and ceramic classes.For her sculptures, she draws inspiration from different artistic styles she explored during her studies, from Greek antiquity to geometric abstractions of modernism. Her works blend abstract and figurative elements. Each piece is left intentionally incomplete, mirroring the fragility of the human experience and our universal longing for wholeness.Besides sculptural work, she also paints, alternating between abstract and figurative pieces.
Similarly to her sculptures, her figurative paintings focus on the female form and the use of missing pieces and negative space, or a ‘void’; reflecting the boundaries of presence and absence, conscious and subconscious.
